i didn't get to bake with aaron today. :(
cos my parents were being anal about us blowing up the kitchen even though they did say yes at first! blowing up the kitchen?!
mummy: you never know, like when all of you are together then you all get so excited, then you blow up the kitchen!- especially since ours is microwave leh!
DDD:
it's actually quite hilarious thinking of us blowing up the kitchen!
i'm sorry aaron!
especially if you're disappointed because i don't like being disappointed so i'll feel really bad about disappointing someone. specially since i know what it feels like.
:(
i realised that i'm learning new things about myself and the world around me everyday.
things i've never really thought about; sometimes, especially on long bus rides they just pop out at me and ta-da! i've learnt something new about myself, or about the people and things around me.
it's pretty interesting, especially if i learn new things about people when i think about my conversations with them, and when i watch them do something.
today i realised that i'm very bad at communicating, especially when i say something.
i owe this to the fact that my vocabulary is very limited, and that sometimes i think too much before i speak.
and those rare times when i just say something without thinking.
bernice once told me (and i still remember!) that i'm a person who thinks before i speak.
and sometimes it's not very good cos when i don't burst out like her, i don't achieve the full effect that i usually feel when i THINK the idea.
then everybody else hearing just looks at me and goes, what?
i find it very hard to make people understand, especially those who don't know how to listen.
for me when i listen to what other people say, i'm understanding not only what they're saying but also the people themselves.
nowadays we move so fast we don't have time to listen, most people just hear.
i wish people would learn to listen. there aren't many who can any more.
and i want to start making people listen to me by improving my vocabulary and 'bursting out' more often so that people can learn to understand what i'm saying, hopefully. (:
i will try and practise, even though it can be hard.
