you come, too

is what i'd say to anybody who asks me about cyc. (: i mean, you should come next year if our church camp doesn't clash with it!
i thought cyc was a very nice wrap-up to my entire holiday all filled with camps and church-y things. (i feel very satisfied with this holiday because i know it was well-spent!) i think cyc is one of the most meaningful camps i've been for so far, maybe because it's one of the camps i've talked with people the most about God. (: i feel i've talked enough about God this camp to satisfy my craving for a while, haha.
in terms of lessons learnt it's still the same old lessons that God has been trying to teach me, over and over again, but stubborn me just refuses to learn them. the spirit IS willing, but the flesh is weak. :/ i feel so frustrated every time the answers to my questions come back to the root problem of it all- me. because of my sin. and i know that when i'm in my earthly body, it will remain, until the day i die.
but God, being ever real, has been speaking to me through His marvellous letter- the bible. i read this for qt on friday: "return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings. behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God." jeremiah 3:22. this verse reminds me, over and over again, especially the times when i let my feelings get the better of me and i feel like God hasn't forgiven me even though i've confessed my sins, that He WILL heal my backslidings, and is ever merciful and loving. (:
i can't say i can know perfectly how to live in God's presence, but this camp He drew me closer still to Him and i'm really very thankful. there will be constant struggle and frustration but above all there is the blessed assurance that God is working in my life, to make me the vessel He wants me to be.

message after message is surprisingly, not a single bit tiring! in fact i loved it. (: i think it was very refreshing to the soul.
testimony night too! i was very encouraged to see/hear 7 out of 9 tengah yfers sharing. (i think we dominated night testimony, haha.) and i was very encouraged by their sharings/testimonies too! (: i like testimony nights we get to hear people's thoughts and i think that's very cool. somehow it lets me know the person a lot better. i'm happy to see the people around me growing up and maturing and walking close to God. (:
i'm glad i got to meet a lot of interesting (and very much older and mature-r) people. (: somehow i'd say too that it was the conversations with them that made the camp meaningful. at first i was a bit scared of them, but they're all really super nice and it's so lovely to be able to talk to them about things. (: thank God especially for james and ji en cos they very patiently answered my questions and didn't make me feel stupid even though some questions, as i found out, have no answers. but we had good talks about God which i never really have with anybody else in church other than yew weng. (: i enjoyed that!
and alanna! (: is really one surprising person, haha. at first i thought she was super old and quiet because she didn't really talk during our first 2 group discussions, but i got to know her better slowly and today (which was sadly the last day) we talked a fair bit. (: and i'm liking her better and better! she's not at all quiet and in fact super interesting and lively. (: and even though i thought she was old at first now i keep thinking that she's 15 too, haha. i don't think she'll ever see this but if you do, thank you for your company i enjoyed it a lot. you're one of the easiest people EVER to wake up in the morning because you're so silent and you wake up almost immediately. (: and i think you're really sweet! (please keep that secret okay i think it's embarrassing...) haha. (:
cyc is lovely because of everything! (: the messages are solid (even though sometimes we go off-topic, hehe) and the fellowship is meaningful. thank God for this camp i'm really glad i went and i'm definitely going again next year if i can. (:

school starts on monday!
i'm dying to see my friends again but the stress/workload is what i'm dreading. :/
